1. Introduction

Hamidullah International Model Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (HIMOIC) is a student-led academic initiative organized by the students of Uluslararası Prof. Dr. Muhammed Hamidullah Anadolu İmam Hatip Lisesi in Ankara, Türkiye. The program aims to provide a platform for young individuals to engage in diplomatic simulations inspired by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

By registering for and participating in HIMOIC, all participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with the present Terms and Conditions. These terms govern participation in the event and ensure a respectful, safe, and productive environment for all attendees.

 

2. Eligibility and Participation

HIMOIC is open to students aged 15 and above, primarily those currently enrolled in high school or an equivalent institution. Participants are expected to demonstrate a genuine interest in international relations, diplomacy, and global affairs.

Participants under the age of 18 are required to obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian prior to attending the event. By submitting an application, participants confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete. The organizing committee reserves the right to review applications and make final decisions regarding acceptance and participation.

 

3. Registration and Allocation

All participants must complete the official registration process. Delegates may indicate their preferences regarding country representation; however, allocations are made at the sole discretion of the HIMOIC Committee. In cases where the quota for certain countries has been reached, participants may be assigned alternative countries.

All allocation decisions are final and cannot be contested. Participation in HIMOIC is free of charge, and no registration fees are required.

 

4. Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to uphold the highest standards of conduct throughout the event. This includes respecting fellow participants, members of the organizing team, and all individuals involved in the program. Professional and respectful communication is required at all times.

Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Participants must also respect Islamic values, cultural sensitivities, and general ethical standards. The use of offensive language, disruptive behavior, or any action that negatively impacts the event environment may result in disciplinary action, including removal from the program.

 

5. Dress Code

Participants are required to maintain a formal and modest appearance during the event. Official sessions require formal attire, such as suits or equivalent clothing. Casual or inappropriate dress is not permitted during sessions.

Participants are expected to dress in a manner that reflects respect for the nature of the event and aligns with Islamic values. Traditional attire may be worn during designated ceremonies or cultural events.

 

6. Attendance and Engagement

Active participation is a core requirement of HIMOIC. Participants are expected to attend all official sessions and activities unless otherwise approved by the organizing committee. Failure to attend sessions without valid justification may result in the loss of the certificate of participation.

Repeated violations of event rules or lack of engagement may also lead to disqualification from receiving official recognition.

 

7. Responsibility and Liability

Participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements, personal expenses, and general well-being during the event. The organizing committee does not assume responsibility for travel-related issues, including delays or missed transportation.

Participants are also responsible for their personal belongings. HIMOIC and its organizers shall not be held liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal items. Additionally, any damage caused to event facilities or property must be compensated by the responsible participant.

Participants are required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the Republic of Türkiye throughout their participation.

 

8. Health and Safety

Participants acknowledge that they are responsible for their own health and safety during the event. HIMOIC and its organizing team shall not be held liable for any injury, illness, accident, or unforeseen circumstance that may occur during the program.

Participants are encouraged to take necessary precautions and inform the organizers of any relevant medical conditions prior to the event.

 

9. Media and Intellectual Property

During the event, photographs, videos, and other media content may be captured by the organizing team. By participating in HIMOIC, participants grant permission for their image, voice, and likeness to be used in official materials, including but not limited to promotional content, publications, and social media platforms.

All materials produced by HIMOIC remain the intellectual property of the organization. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of such materials without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

 

10. Amendments

The organizing committee reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated through official channels or reflected on the website.
